Eligibility Criteria for the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Product Design:

  1. Educational Qualification
    • Completion of Grade 12 (or equivalent) in any stream from a recognised board or educational institution.
    • Students from all subject backgrounds are eligible, as no specific subjects are required for entry.
  2. Minimum Academic Requirements
    • A minimum aggregate score of 50% in Grade 12 is recommended. Students with slightly lower scores may also apply and be considered based on overall academic potential.
  3. English Proficiency
    • For students who completed Grade 12 in an English-medium school, proof of English proficiency may be waived.
    • For those from non-English-medium backgrounds, evidence of English proficiency (e.g., IELTS with a minimum score of 5.5 or equivalent) may be required.
  4. Age Requirement
    • Candidates must be at least 17 years of age at the time of enrollment.
  5. Passion for Product Design
    • While not an academic requirement, candidates should demonstrate an interest in Product Design, Creativity, or Innovation, as this program is tailored to develop foundational skills for a career in design and innovation.

The July 2025 intake is ideal for students completing their State Board exams, such as those from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and other Indian state boards, where final exams typically conclude by April. Applications for this intake will close on April 2025.

Before the main program begins, students will participate in a 2-week foundation course, designed to strengthen academic skills, introduce key concepts, and provide orientation to ensure a smooth transition into higher education.

January 2026 Intake

The January 2026 intake is best suited for students following international curricula such as IB, A-Level, Edexcel, or other similar boards, where final exams generally conclude by January. Applications for this intake will close on September 2025.
