This program is designed by Pearson Education in collaboration with Royal College of Nursing, Nuffield Health, Hillingdon Hospital NHS Trust, Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. This is a pathway program leads you to a BSc (Hons) in Nursing
or BSc (Hons) in Public Health. Upon completion of two years at Kings Cornerstone International College, you may be able to progress directly into employment in Nursing Assistant or Senior Healthcare Support Work/Assistant
roles providing they meet employer and statutory requirement while studying the second part of your program in the UK.
This program develops you as a professional, self-reflecting individual able to the underpinning principles of care, factors that impact quality of care, health, safety and safeguarding/protection responsibilities of the healthcare practitioner, and providing effective support to service users using health and care services. You will consider not only the framework that underpins nursing care, but their role in developing your skills and knowledge towards entering the nursing profession. You will also consider the different roles and responsibilities of nursing staff and the impact on service user outcomes.
Course will cover Law, Policy and Ethical Practice in Healthcare, Values in care practice, Dementia Care, Healthcare Practice using Maths, Anatomy and Physiology for Health and Ill-Health, Global Health and Wellbeing, Project Management for Health Care, OT Practice, Maternity Care, Emergency Care Environments, Rehabilitation Services, Orthopaedic Care, Mental Health Services
Throughout the course, You will be made aware of safe practices relating to staff roles and responsibilities, and the relationship to service user health, wellbeing and outcomes. Demonstrate this awareness through the provision of care for service users that reflects this approach.
