Everyone has dreams and aspirations, but only a few find their calling. Meet Santhosh, one among the lucky few who found his. Having completed his high school with a computer science major from a matriculation board, he went on to pursue his bachelor’s in the same stream from a reputed Indian engineering college. When the future of his career didn’t have any prospective foundation, he started looking for an international education twinning programs in the UK.

Bound by the constraints of his economic situation, he was unable to pursue his dreams. His financial circumstances dimmed his chances of covering his tuition and living expenses abroad. This is when he found out about Cornerstone’s UK programs with the final year study and graduation abroad module. This was in line with his budget and allowed him to complete the UK education with a 70% cost reduction than a regular migrate and study abroad program. After two years of studying in Cornerstone, Santhosh went on to complete his final year with the University of Sunderland, UK. He also worked part-time in The Royal Mail to cover his living expenses during his study tenure.

With a globally accredited degree, he returned to India after graduation to work with Perptuuiti Technosoft, Chennai as a Network & System engineer. After six months, he applied for an Australian work visa using his recognized graduate stream based on Kings Cornerstone International and University of Sunderland qualifications. Santhosh is now all set and will be heading to Sydney on 28th November to work and settle in Australia. He visited Cornerstone recently and mentioned ‘God bless Cornerstone’ in a tone of complete gratitude. He vouched to start an alumni association to bring all passed out students together to support the incoming Cornerstone students. He also advised the future counterparts of Cornerstone to make a smart career choice without spending a fortune on education.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE AT CORNERSTONE:
Stepping into Cornerstone, one of the best international college college was a bag full of mixed feelings. A new stream, a new city, a new local language and me all by myself.

JOURNEY FROM COMMERCE BACKGROUND TO LAMBORGHINI EMPLOYMENT AS AN ENGINEER:
Being a Commerce student, the only reason I chose to pursue Automotive Engineering was my immense passion coupled with employment opportunities. Switching over from Commerce to Science was a big leap. It is not something which happens daily, and I believe in breaking stereotypes. It was my sheer interest due to which I decided to switch to a completely different field. The journey has been unusual and tedious at the same time. From completing assignments at the last minute to making friends of a lifetime, I have undoubtedly had a fantastic time during this period. Currently, I am interning as a Service Technician at Lamborghini, Mumbai. My association with the entire team has been exceptional. My job work includes Computerized System Diagnosis, Inventory Sheet Analysis, Servicing Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic systems. Apart from this, I have been fortunate to be a part of its launch events too.

ADVICE FOR OTHER ENGINEERING ASPIRANTS:
According to me, there are three critical ingredients for success. Hard work, hard work and hard work. It rightly said that there is no substitute for hard work. Hence I strongly advise my fellow aspirants to work hard each day of the week and never stop believing in yourself. Yes it will be tough, and there will be failures along, but remember that nothing worth having comes easy.

Sreeja Mani wants to complete a Bachelor of Information Technology in RMIT University. This will cost her around $34400 (AUD) for each year of the four year degree, or around $ 137600 (AUD) overall.

Sreeja Mani chosen to study one of the twinning programs, the diploma pathway program in Computing at Kings Cornerstone International which costs around $6000 (AUD) a year or around $12000 (AUD) for the two year course.

When Sreeja Mani completes her study, she will gain two years credit to go on to complete her Bachelor’s degree at university in just two years.

At the end of the four years, She will have two qualifications, the Associate Degree in Computing and the related Bachelor of technology from one of our partner university.

When my 12th score was a limitation in getting an admission in Indian University, due to my inability to memorise, at a school learning that came with an emphasis on remembering rather than an understanding of the subject, but acceptance at Cornerstone, one of the best international college, was destiny to success. The teaching methodology designed by Pearson and taught at Cornerstone was real-world training and helped me to learn with ease. Learning by doing and real-world problems simulated in the classroom helped me understand the subject.

The two years of study at Cornerstone equipped me for direct lateral entry on to a Bachelor of Computer Science degree at the University of Ulster in Belfast, United Kingdom. Moving to Belfast was a big decision and daunting, but our class moved as a group to the UK, the settlement process was also as smooth as our academic transfer. The system we follow at the University of Ulster is just the same as how we studied at Cornerstone. Also, study abroad came to 50% lesser than studying directly at Ulster University

I would not hesitate to recommend Cornerstone to anyone for its excellence in International education in India.
