With this visa, you can

• Enroll in a full-time academic or language program at a SEVP-certified institution.
• Work on-campus for up to 20 hours per week.
• Apply for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or Optional Practical Training (OPT) to gain work experience.
• Travel to and from the U.S. within visa validity.

You must

• Complete the DS-160 form online and schedule an embassy interview.
• Obtain an I-20 form from your SEVP-certified school.
• Pay the SEVIS fee and provide proof of financial capability for tuition and living expenses.
• Prove strong ties to your home country for visa approval.
