Program Overview
HND in Construction and the Built Environment is a practical and internationally recognised option for Indian students who want a global degree at a lower cost. It is a UK-regulated qualification awarded by Pearson and regulated by Ofqual, ensuring high academic standards. The program covers the first two years of a bachelor’s degree and focuses on real construction and built-environment skills rather than only theory. In the second year, students can transfer to an international partner university or continue in India by choosing a specialisation such as Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Sustainable Building Design. The final year is compulsory studying abroad at one of our partner universities, and once completed, students receive a full bachelor’s degree from the partner university.

Age: Minimum 17 years of age at the start of the course. Academic Qualifications: A levels (or) BTEC Level 3 qualification in Engineering (or) Grade 12: Must have 70% in Maths and Physics (and) English Language Requirements: 80% in English (Matric & State Board) or 70% in Englisn (CBSE)
Entry Criteria
10+2 pass l 50% aggregate l English: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent. A gap year is accepted if provided with valid reasons such as work experience, volunteering, internships, or short courses. Applicants should not have any previous visa refusals.
Study Journey from KCIC to Study Abroad
HNC Construction & the Built Environment focuses on building core skills such as problem-solving, basic design, construction technology, technical documentation, and teamwork. At this stage, learning is broad and prepares students for progression, with introductory exposure to areas like construction management, building design, and civil engineering.
HND Construction and the Built Environment level, students gain advanced skills in construction design, project planning, building technology, surveying, and site management, using industry-standard tools and real-world projects. Students can specialise in areas such as Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Services Engineering, Civil Engineering, Sustainable Construction, or General Construction for flexible progression.
On successful completion of the HND, students transfer to one of our international partner institutions and complete the final two years of study to be awarded a full international bachelor’s degree. Available degree options include Civil Engineering, Construction and the Built Environment, Architectural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, and Construction Project Management.
In Year 4, students complete their final year at the university and graduate with a full international bachelor’s degree.
Upon graduation, students receive a full international degree and are eligible for an 18–24 month post-study work visa, allowing them to stay and seek employment. This visa permits full-time work and does not require employer sponsorship.
