Film is more than storytelling — it is about turning your creative vision into something people can see and experience. At KCIC, the 64-week Film & Television programme gives students a practical, industry-focused learning experience where they learn by doing — from developing an idea and writing a script to directing, cinematography, shooting, editing, sound and production.

Designed as a 100% vocational qualification, the programme focuses on hands-on training, industrial-style filmmaking and live cinema projects. Students get the opportunity to work on practical productions, understand real production workflows, collaborate as part of a film crew and experience the challenges that come with bringing a project from concept to screen.

Students also get the opportunity to learn from DOP mentors and industry professionals, gaining practical insights into camera, lighting, composition and visual storytelling. Through continuous production-based learning, students build not just technical skills, but also the creative confidence to lead a project, make decisions on set and develop their own voice as a filmmaker.

The programme includes the Pearson BTEC Higher National Diploma in Film and Television, with practical learning designed to prepare students for the realities of the film and television industry.
